Christian Aid Week

Dear All

I am sending (below) the information I have received from Julie, re Christian Aid. As you will see there are two actions we can take as a community:

  1. Watch the service that is being held on 16th May following the link;
  2. Follow the link to make your own individual donations by the end of May.

I will put some posters up in the church and answer any queries re donations if any of you want.

Thank you

Dear Emily

I hope you, your family and your church family have managed to stay safe and well during the last 15 months. Many thanks for all your help with the Christian Aid Campaigns in previous years.

Christian Aid Week 2021 is almost here with this year’s dates being Monday 10th May 2021 to Sunday 16th May 2021.

Although we are not holding any physical events this year, in order to keep everyone safe and to conform with the current Covid-19 regulations, we have produced an online Christian Aid Week Service.

This Christian Aid Service, produced for Churches Together in Faringdon, explores this year’s theme of Climate Justice for Everyone with the help of the Faringdon Earth & Faith Group. The service is due to air on Sunday 16th May 2021 and will be accessible by going to the All Saints website https://www.allsaintsfaringdon.org or the All Saints Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/allsaintsfaringdon. Please share these links with your congregation.

We have also set up a link for online donations, which again I am happy for you to share with your congregation if you feel it is appropriate. This link will also be hosted on the All Saints Website until the end May 2021 and will be able to give us a total of how much money is raised locally in Faringdon. https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/envelope/cafaringdon

Many thanks for your help with Christian Aid 2021

Regards
